Día 1
Start of the tour
Start time: 8:00 am
- We begin with the observation of the most important museum in all of Latin America, that is, the National Museum of Anthropology, where the largest and most complete collection of specimens and artifacts from the pre-Hispanic period of Mesamerica is presented, found by archaeologists and exhibited in 22 rooms of the museum. .
- All artifacts are original and are divided into rooms by tribes and time periods. You will not only learn about the daily life of the civilizations that populated the lands of Latin America centuries ago, but you will also be able to imagine how their life was in details.
- Finishing the acquaintance with the museum, we headed south of the city, to the very picturesque and colorful district called Coyoacán.
- Upon arrival you will have the feeling as if you were arriving in another city, very different from the capital. Coyoacan is the bohemian center of Mexico City, which due to its exceptional nature was always adored by painters, actors, writers and artists who visited Mexico.
- Here we will visit the main square, surrounded by the buildings built in the colonial style and we will make the walk through the central street that will take us to the Frida Kahlo Museum. Frida Kahlo is a Mexican painter known throughout the world. Her house - museum where she lived with her husband, Diego Rivera, is called Alcoba Azul.
- In this house the painter spent most of her life, and there she died. Now this place belongs to his granddaughter-niece and Diego's daughter.
- They organized the museum and maintained the house in such a way that upon entering, you will see everything as if Frida were alive: her clothes, furniture, wheelchair, dishes and, of course, her paintings, drawings and notes.
